Shadow
Mentoring
Through the
Shadow Mentoring Program, Executive Leadership Council members welcome
promising African- American graduate students from across the nation
into their offices and work lives. Students gain a first-hand look
inside Fortune 500 companies and benefit from one-on-one interactions
with ELC members who offer career counseling and insight into corporate
culture.
MBA students
in good academic standing can apply for the Shadow Mentoring Program
through ELC or participating organizations such as the national
Black MBA association.
To apply for
a Shadow Mentoring Week spot, submit a cover letter, resume, and
letter of recommendation from your academic dean to:

Next
Generation Network
The Next Generation
Network is an independent, non-profit networking group comprised
of past winners of ELC's Business Commentary Essay Competition who
are now working in corporate America.
Like the ELC
members who mentored them, these young executives support each other
through professional development activities and forums. They are
also reaching back to African-American communities to mentor high
school students and provide college scholarships through their own
national essay competition.
The president
of NGN is Susan Chapman. www.ngn.com
